Madeline Vionnet was a genius with her use of materials. she produced draped creations that were considered works of art. Vionnet used 14" high Mannequins, to manipulate and drape the fabric on the wooden forms.Vionnet was instrumental in freeing women from the corset and creating dresses that suited the 'modern' 20th century woman.
